  • Resource forest topologies (separate Exchange forest and account forests)
  • Parent-child domains
  • Multiple AD sites (where there's a mix of hosted and non-hosted)
  • SSO AD Trusts
  • Dis-contiguous namespace
  • Disjoint namespace

How to reset Windows 2008 Server administrator password using utilman

• Insert the original Windows Server 2008 installation DVD.
• Reset the computer, boot from DVD.
• Choose option “Repair your computer”.
• Start command prompt.
• C:\
• CD C:\Windows\System32
• MOVE Utilman.exe Utilman.exe.bak
• COPY Cmd.exe Utilman.exe
• Restart windows
• At the login screen, press Windows key+U, this fires up command prompt
• NET USER administrator
• Login as administrator
• Now repair computer again, command prompt
• MOVE Utilman.exe.bak Utilman.exe
